Earthquake shreds Herania
K. Kiwi - 13/03/2019

A magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit Herania, the biggest city in the mountainous region in the west. The earthquake only lasted 20 seconds. But that was enough on Tuesday evening to rip open roads, crash streetlights and leave the quake-hardened inhabitants of Herania panicked. It has been a while since an earthquake of that magnitude hit Metoopia.
While there were no reports of deaths or serious injuries, officials say the earthquake crippled the Heranian infrastructure and it could take weeks or months to repair. In some places rocks and snow covered the highway and made it impossible for traffic to pass. About 62,000 people were left without power and the local fire department reported there were a lot of collapsed and damaged buildings, bridges and broken water lines.
The male population were quick to react their disgust for the leader. They say the government doesn’t take action to improve the infrastructure. The rebels have reportedly suggested to adapt the roads and houses so they wouldn’t break again. In reaction, experts say it’s impossible to find a way to circumvent the earthquakes. The leader and board of women recommend anyone who wants to visit Herania or the Heranian mountains to cancel or postpone their visit to next month when all the roads should be repaired and everything will be safe again.
The male rebels quick to call out the leader

Earthquakes are such a fact of life in Herania , the most seismically active region in the country, that the Women mayor council made regular drills on preparedness compulsory in schools. The military has already intervened and started to clear the larger highways while local police manage to redirect traffic towards the better highways. Officials are still assessing the scale of the damage. Our leader has pledged to spare no expense for rebuilding Herania as soon as possible.
