John Thomas is definitely one of the most recognizable and talented men in the UBN’s got talent. We had the honour to have a 1-2-1 interview with the star. Read further if you want to know how he will proceed to the UBN GT.

Honestly, I don’t know what to tell you. Obviously very excited and honoured that the leader with her council preferred my performance over that of 150 others. It’s just amazing how I will be able to represent Metoopia in the upcoming UBN GT. Of course I have to thank my producer and coach for the advice, tips and tricks they gave me and my family and friends for their unbridled support and love.

Dear John Thomas, how do you feel right now after winning the Metoopian selections?
Megan Melon

Yes! Me and my staff have worked countless hours making that song. And to be honest I don’t think we’ll manage to make another that is as powerful, meaningful and beautiful as Insane Viro in that short amount of time.

You’ve trained a lot to sing ‘Insane Viro’. Will you sing it in the UBN GT as well?

Not really. I know it’s a confronting song about one of the nations, but I’m singing the truth. I stand behind all the lyrics, sentence for sentence, word for word. And I’m certain our leader isn’t afraid to show face either. Why would she organize The Diss Viro Talent show in the first place?

Aren’t you afraid that Saint-Viro or other UBN nations will react negatively?

For other nations, maybe. But after all, Metoopia isn’t a bad country for men as many believe. Yes, it’s ruled by women and men don’t really have a shot to make it to the very top. But it’s not like men are shoved aside to live in poverty. And if you just act normally and try to be a good man you can live a happy life there. Saint-Viro on the other hand disables females to speak for themselves. That’s actually the main reason why I wrote the song Insane Viro. They’re just insane to think that’s a good way to govern and maintain a good country.

Isn’t it a bit odd that a man sings about a male country like Saint-Viro in such a negative way?

*Laughs* My team and I already have something in mind. But I’m afraid you’ll have to wait until the 29th of May to see exactly what. But I can tell you it’s going to be awesome!

One last question, what are you going to do in the UBN GT finals that will blow us away?

Thank you John for this interview. We wish you the very best in the upcoming finals!
